About PDC

Tools for complex work under real constraints.

PDC Dev Studio is built around a simple engineering instinct: difficult materials become more useful when they are organized, reviewable, and grounded in the conditions where decisions actually happen.

Founder context

Before founding PDC Dev Studio, Alex led and contributed to Alaska aviation planning, airport access, geospatial visualization, and infrastructure resilience work for remote communities.

That experience shaped PDC's focus on making complex technical information usable under real-world constraints: terrain, weather, logistics, public-sector documentation, stakeholder review, and long-lived project records.

Name origin

The PDC name nods to an extinct Fairbanks, Alaska engineering company from the pipeline-building era of the 1970s — the founder's first professional stop after the Peace Corps, and later part of RESPEC's mining and geotechnical engineering lineage.

The through-line is practical: plan carefully, design clearly, construct systems that can survive contact with reality.
